National Bureau of Investigation (NBI_Cavido)_NBI CLEARANCE

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI_Cavido)

For both first time and old timers:

                Requirements:

·         Valid I.D (Government issued, will be a lot more helpful)

·         Black pen

If you live in Dasmariñas, I will suggest the Tagaytay Branch, for it’s a lot more convenient and no need to queue (wait in line), not like in Pure Gold Imus, that you will need to go early and queue for hours . There is a dress code there; you are not allowed to wear shorts, sandals and shirts with no sleeves.  At the gate, ask for the number and he will give you a form that you will need to fill up. Be advice, use all caps, read the instruction carefully, if you are getting confuse, ask for assistance to any NBI personnel, they all are very nice and accommodating. After you have finished filling up the form, go to the fingerprint personnel, he will be a little bossy but you will get a hang of it. Then wait for your number to be called, prepare 115 Php if you do not want any hustle, I will suggest that you bring an exact amount. After the cashier, its picture oerfect, don’t smile but don’t look like Mr. Scrooge. Then, just wait for your name to be called, if you don’t have any hit (term used for those who have the same names as yours, and have a pending case) you will get your clearance within 30-60 minutes (may change depends on what time you applied). If you have hit, sad to say but you will need to go back, it will be released 14 working days, so if you are in hurry better start applying now.

Note:

While filling up, indicate whether you are asking for a local or travel purpose. Another is, be bold and be sure that your writing can be easily be read, erasure can be done, but be advise to avoid such mistakes.

If you already have requested an NBI clearance before and you have requested for a local purpose, it’s not your first time to apply so don’t act like you a newbie and check that “NO”, to the question, “Is this your first time to apply for an NBI clearance?”

Itinerary (I am not travel expert but, I can give you some few tips and tricks on how to go there)

*Note: You can go anytime you want, but I will go to the early bird thing

0700 hrs               At Robinson Place- Dasmariñas, Board an ordinary bus going to Alfonso or any Bus to Tagaytay, (but ordinary bus is a lot more common, and don’t get so picky because when you reach somewhere Silang, the cold breeze of South Luzon is rewarding). Bus Fare for ordinary is around 40 Php so is to the air conditioned. Don’t take the PUJ (jeepneys) they cost a lot more expensive than the bus and will take you a lot longer. Ask the conductor to bring you to the NBI clearance gate, and not the SWAT office (but if you were to jump off at the SWAT office, no worries it’s just a block away).

0830 hrs               you are already at NBI I suppose, but don’t let your hopes high. There are rare times that the office is offline so cross your fingers. Just do the procedure above and you’re done.

0900-1000hrs     Your name will be called and let’s hope that you don’t have a hit. There are rare cases that you need to wait for almost two hours, but those are rare case, and let us hope you are not one of those rare cases. After you have received your clearance you can go to Olivarez, there are varieties of fast food there. But if you are one of those unfortunate, that have a hit, you will receive a receipt and with a stamp of date on when your clearance will be released.

n  If you will go home straight, just look for a bus that says Lawton or Pasay. And all I can say is Bon Voyage.
